The price seems right for these decent-looking old 12-gauge autoloaders, so right that I'm suspicious of them. :scrutiny:
Was anything wrong with the Winchester Model 1911?

Zutz called these one of the best pointing shotguns ever made. Other details kinda ruin it for most of us.

Note the lack of operating handle, one has to grasp the knurled section on the barrel to chamber a round and IIRC, there's no easy way to leave it open action.

The handle was covered by Browning's patent, and Browning had quit working for Winchester some time previously. Winchester was losing much ground to Remington, who had their Model 11 autoloader and Browning's Belgian made A-5.

The last two ate Winchester's lunch.

The habit the 1911 had of breaking the forearm wood didn't help things either.

All in all, I'd leave them on the rack and get something else, like a used A-5 or 11.

HTH.....

Thanks, guys.
That odd way of chambering a round was about the only thing I recall hearing, now that Dave mentioned it. Yes, I think I'll pass.

Anapex, I found a dealer local to me which lists a 1946-made Model 50 for $299. Here is the link:

Click on "Used Guns" and it's on page 8 of the listings.

If you're interested, they would probably ship it to your FFL.
