My Grandfather passed away at a 100 in 2008. One shotgun I got from his estate was my Great Grandfather shotgun a 12ga 2 3/4 Winchester Model 40 with factory Compensator. The Serial number is 32XX and the lookup I used says it was made in 1940 it was the last duck gun my Great Grandfather owned. Can anyone tell me if the date sounds right or what the value is? Maybe some history about it....
