Winchester Model 70 Pre/Post 64 Stocks

Hi - Need some help, got two stocks, one has metal Win. buttplate with tongue on top, the other has pachmayr pad. I don't know how to tell pre from post, or long from short action on these stocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The stocks look just alike except for the buttpad/plates and are the same length.

The one with the metal buttplate is a pre-'64 stock. If the other is exactly like it, then it's a pre-64 stock as well.

Pre-'64 Model 70s came in only one action length. To accomodate short cartridges, the magazine was blocked at the rear and a longer bolt stop installed.
