Steel based shotgun shells are the norm these days. Some are copper washed to appear as brass, but only AA, STS and the more expensive Federal hulls still use all brass. You can best tell by running a magnet over the metal base.
These days, I prefer the Remington Gun Club hulls to the current production AA hulls. I get more loads from the Gun Club hulls, and have even seen the current AA hulls split on the first firing.
There are wads available for just about any hull currently being manufactured. It just takes good reference material, or sources to find them, sometimes.
