After much research and debate,I was trying to find a nice load for my Marlin XL7 in .270 Winchester. I just loaded a few rounds of the Hornady SST in 130gr. using data from the Hodgdon 2009 annual manual...56.4grs of Supreme 780 ,Col 3.180". Lee dies, neck sized only with factory crimp.Winchester large Rifle primers.I primarily hunt White tail deer, and feral hogs in north east Texas.Has anyone out there tried this recipe ? Would love to hear input, and results. Haven't set out to the range yet to test this load.I also plan on using the Hodgdon recipe they call out for the 150gr. load as well, using the Hornady 150gr SST bullet with 53.4 grs of the 780...Not much data for the Winchester Supreme 780 powder out there.
