Winchester White Box Cases

I know this sounds dumb, but there is no reason to NOT use the winchester white box brass cases is there? I know almost all my friends practice with them, and since I am brand new to reloading, I hope they can give them to me from now on.

Geeze, yeah. That was my seed brass in 44 mag. ~300 of them still going strong. Excellent brass. I worked out a deal with my buddies, sure you can too.

When I am mining the outdoor range for brass and I come upon 9mm cases, I hope that it's Winchester.

I am sure there are folks out there with nearly a ton of Win stamped brass, most likely from white boxes, who reload it over and over again. It's good.

I might be missing something here, but it needs to be said that the brass Winchester uses in its premier, very expensive ammunition is the same brass it uses in its bargain priced white box stuff. For some reason, there seems to be a misconception floating around that white box ammo is cheap, and therefore the components are of lower quality.

The last time I checked prices, it was less expensive to purchase white box ammo to get brass than to purchase empty cases and load them yourself for the first go-around. By that, I mean 100 empty cases, 100 primers, propellant charges, and bullets exceeds the price of the white box "value pack" at Wally World, and I believe it is one item that Wally sells that doesn't enrich the Chinese.

paper is right on the cost. I plan on stocking up on brass by buying WWB. Since it seems that everyone feels its excellent, its a cheap way to shoot some and still have once fired brass!

Especially since I only reload 9mm and .40 S&W. Its not a huge savings (and most the time more expensive) to purchase new brass, and bullets let alone with powder and primers. But the second reload is so inexpensive, it still makes plenty of sense in my book!

Its what I use, over a couple of years bought and shot about 400 rds of it, now use it to reload.

Glad to hear this, because the next batch of reloads I intend to make will be of Winchester brass, just by coincidence, because that's the one I have the next 50 soonest ready for.

I have some white box brass that I have reloaded and have no problems with it. Does any know what is the difference with white box and other winchester brass?

White box ammo has the entire word 'winchester' stamped on it while others I have is stamped 'w w'? Just wondering. I use both and have no problems with either!

"W W" is Winchester Western, but it's all Olin Corporation no matter what the case stamp reads. Most of my .357 brass is Winchester but in .38 more of it is "W W". IMHO, there's no difference........

I have to find a real good deal on brass or I'll buy loaded ammo and then reload.

I've been pretty lucky on that cause I haven't bought factory in 2 or 3 yrs.
