Wondering if this new model has hit the street yet and if so what are your first impressions. It looks very comparable to the Armalite 16" carbine to me.

barrel is too short for me. 20" or longer in 308

Pretty much looks exactly like the DPMS guns. For that much money I would rather have the M&P 10.

Yes the MP10 is nice.

I wouldn't discount it. I've heard good things about Windham and the 5.56s that I've seen have been nicely made. Might want to give them a chance before blowing them off.

There is a point where the added velocity helps to keep the bullet above transonic speds.
