I looked at one local, it appears to be the same quality as the earlier Bushmaster, say from the 90's up to very early 2000's. It looked nice, good fit between upper/lower, trigger was OK, typical AR single stage with a fairly long pull that didn't feel gritty at all.

I think at that price I'd kick in another 200 and get a colt 6920 or a basic bcm or Daniel defense. If it was under 700 that might be a different story.

well... ok but what if you want a 1/9 barrel?
I think Windham would make a great shooter AR for the average person. Reliable and accurate. The quality goes in before the rifle goes out.
