I checked out the Assembly homepage and Tuesday Feb. 3 did not have SB214 on the agenda.

I thought it was supposed to be #4 or 5 on the list. Here is what we get instead:

1. Call of the Roll
2. Introduction and Reference of Proposals
3. Committee Reports
4. Messages from the Senate
5. Consideration of Conference Committee Reports
6. Consideration of Senate Action

AB519 - Links...
Vote-Passage
SA1
SA2
SA3
7. Consideration of Motions for Reconsideration
8. Consideration of Resolutions

SJR49 - Links...
SJR53 - Links...
9. Third Reading of Assembly Proposals
10. Third Reading of Senate Proposals
11. Second Reading of Assembly Proposals

AB474 - Links...

Is SB214 just going to be added ad-hoc, or is the person in charge of writing the Calendar just getting tired of adding SB214, only to see it delayed. :D

AJ:

You didn't look down the list far enough!!

Your cut'n paste is from the 2/3 session, but because they didn't FINISH the 1/27 stuff, it's down on the bottom of the list, after the 1/29 notes.

Look again, SB214 is still there.....I'm planning of being there early tomorrow, maybe poke my nose into the MMM room, otherwise will hang out in Zein's office.

Have I met you yet???? I'm Art

Ahhh.

I saw the Sb214 link on the 1/27 listing. I didn't understand how they still listed old business under the previous dates.

If you've worked any gunshows for the WCCA in Waukesha, State Fair, or Antigo, we may have met.

Unfortunately my work situation won't allow me being absent to attend the Capitol. Even if I were legitamately ill, I'd be screwed. :uhoh:

(bump) Today's the day.

Hopefully the snow won't screw up any attendance.

For our side, at least... :D

You know, for all this preliminary bs that they have to get through before they do any real work, why don't they just have a big group hug? It'd be quicker and more efficient! Oh wait, we're talking about government here.

:cuss: :banghead: :barf:

In caucus..

Dems or Repubs in caucus?

If it's the Dems, that's a good sign. I'd figure the Repubs would just want to get the vote over with one way or the other, if the delay from last week didn't buy them enough time, an extra day of caucus wouldn't help any.

According to local AM radio (WTMJ 620) they will be back in session at 2pm.

The news announcer said that the word from John Gard (R), Speaker of the Assembly, is that the vote on SB214 will be the first order of business.

Take it FWIW...

Who is holding out?

Can anybody confirm who is holding out in caucus?

If it's the Democrats hiding out, that's very good.

I'm guessing it's them, since the Republicans said today was the day and were going to "let the chips fall as they may"

IIRC, when I was listening earlier, it was the republicans who first asked to caucus. The dems immediately asked to do likewise. So they are both in caucus right now.

I'm left with the strong impression that things must be happening backstage. Obviously, things aren't cut and dried.

IMHO, the more stuff that happens backstage, the worse off gun owners are. I have bad memories of the Brady bill's passage, the AWB and the failure of the AWB repeal measure in the US Senate. Darkness aids the cockroaches and light sends them scurrying.
