Wisconsin Assembly Passes Landmark Criminal Protection Act

February 3, 2004 – Madison, WI - Today was an historic day in the Wisconsin Assembly. With the help of thirty-three of my Democratic colleagues we were able to pass a landmark bill, The Criminal Protection Act of 2004. The major provision of this act being to prevent alleged law-abiding citizens from legally carrying concealed weapons in public to protect themselves. With this single act we have assured the safety of our schools, shopping malls, parking structures, stores, day care centers, parks, stadiums, theaters, restaurants, dark alleys, nuclear reactors, and other public places. I hope that each of you is as proud of him or herself as I am of you. Remember, today’s vote was a vote for the mugger, the robber, the rapist, the gang member, the drug dealer, and the carjacker. We need to protect these people from the likes of those that would do them harm.

Please remember to give your husband, or wife, or significant other, and\or children an extra hug tonight as you have done them proud and assured the safety of the citizens of Wisconsin.

Those are Democratic (sic) party loyalists, after all.
