With all of the recent bad press, and some of the more depressing stories in the news, I thought it would be appropriate to share an interesting sight yesterday. Here in Washington we got hit with some serious weather yesterday evening. Snow and ice covered the freeways and traffic was a nightmare. But it really was a great sight to see how people were so willing to help eachother.
Normally, out here, you could sit on the side of the road without help for hours, but yesterday was different. Several vehicles were stuck in the snow spinning their tires, unable to move forward. It was nice to see so many State Patrol officers out helping stuck drivers, but the amazing sight was that so many of the passers-by had actually stopped to help their fellow commuters out of their jams! This is not a usual sight in the Seattle area. Rather than yelling and honking, people were actually helping eachother.
I just thought this would be a nice bit of light to shed on this month, since there has been so much bad news, and a lot of bad feelings toward LEOs.
Be safe driving out there, and be like these people. Stop to help others that are stranded. God bless.
