With those with the LCP, how do you like them?

Just curious, I have one coming in tomorrow and would like to here some experiences, both good and bad.

I have a thread all about my problems with the LCP, so just check my profile for threads created by me.

Mine is currently with Ruger in AZ for all the machining and function problems.

When it fires I like it more than the Kel-Tec. Softer recoil, better grip, better mag release, better extractor.

My experience isn't much - picked it up yesterday (ordered 3/12), haven't even shot it. Feels great in my hand. Carried it around the house in a cheap uncle mike's pocket holster. I was surprised that it was at least as noticable as my M&P340 snub in a Nemesis.

Somewhat lighter, but the outline is so sharp-edged and gun-like, I doubt I will carry it much unless I find a better pocket holster. My main reason for getting it was pocket carry when the 340 seemed too large...

I will try a better holster for it before I decide for sure, but I might GunBroker mine while they are still rare...

I just bought it on a whim, as I considered a P3AT when I bought the 340, so when the LCP came out I ordered one...

Feels really good - if it shoots well, I might keep it anyway, it could always be a backup in an ankle or something...

Re-reading my post, it is likely entirely unhelpful, but since I typed it already, I'll hit "post" ;)

It was helpful, FranklyTodd - I also have a MP340 that I pocket carry and it seems that we are buying or have bought for the exact same reasons.

I bought one today. I used to have a P3AT but I sold it because of reliability issues. I bought the LCP because of the hype about how ultra reliable the gun is compared to the P3AT. It failed to feed 4 times in the first 15 rounds with ball. I'll be calling Ruger in the morning.

Car Knocker, I couldn't get the link you posted to pull up any results.

I've only had mine less than two weeks as of today. It's not the most fun thing to shoot, but so far I'm pleased with it. Nothing else in this caliber conceals as well for the money.

I just read your other thread. It appears as though the chamber was reamed a bit eccentric, one side isn't even machined. I also see some peening and the feed ramp has facets instead of one smooth surface. From a machine work perspective, this pistol is a disaster.
