Does anyone have any experience with this gun? I've gotten into rut of only considering the "big name" gun manufacturers. And there are plenty of guns that I'd like to have. I think it's try to get outside my comfort zone and try some thing new.

I've seen a lot of recommendation for the EAA Witness guns, particularly the Elite Match. Lots of information about the gun being a good bang for the buck. I'm not crazy about the look of the Elite Match, but I did find the Elite Stock 2. It's a couple hundred dollars more than the Elite Match, but I like the hard chrome, I like the adjustable rear sight, and I really like the look of the full length dust cover. I've tried doing my research, but I'm not finding much information on the Stock 2. I've seen a few threads about the older Stock models, but not much seems to have been written about the Stock 2. Does anyone have any experience with the gun?

I've seen the technical specs. I'm looking for firsthand experience.

Got my hands on one in a gun shop recently, seemed very nicely made, and it had an excellent SA trigger pull. I have no firsthand experience shooting one, though.

I have two Witness guns and love them. That one has the cone barrel and the enlarged trigger guard. Should rock and roll!

I think the Stock II/Match main difference is the DA trigger, full length dust cover and coned barrel on the Stock II. I've shot one but I really liked the SA trigger on the Match model so that's what I wound up with. It's been a couple of years but I don't recall it being any more accurate than the Match at the time, but we only ran one box of ammo through it.

Thanks for the videos and info. I'd really like to find a shop that has one do I could get a good look at one.

If I got one, I'm not sure what caliber I'd pick. I'm leaning toward 10mm since I already reload for that caliber. But I've always wanted a .38 Super too. So I'm not too sure.

I have no experience with the Stock 2 model, but I do have two EAA Witnesses and am very impressed with both. I've had the Elite Match for a few years now and love the SA only trigger. My Witness Compact is DA/SA but the SA trigger is just about as sweet as the Elite Match's trigger. I am just really impressed every time I shoot these guns. So I haven't answered your question, but my point is that I'm highly impressed with the Tanfoglio pistols that I own and would recommend Tanfoglio made pistols to anyone.

I'm in the evaluation mode. I pick up my 1006 from my 7 day wait this Tuesday. In the next several months I want to concentrate on it, both my EAA guns and the Razorback. I'm going to really go over which ones I like and may deal one away maybe for another EAA 10mm like a Stock II or another.

Thanks for the information. I've seen a YouTube video about the Elite Stock 3, but I don't see anywhere that has them for sale. Are the Stock 3s not available yet?

Didn't find any on GB. I search multiple combinations and singles words of Tanfoglio, Witness, EAA, Elite, and Stock. No Stock 3s.

Just stopped by my LGS over lunch and they had a brand new Sig 1911 Traditional Match Elite which was currently top on my wanted list. Since I've never seen a Witness Stock 2 or handled one, it's hard for me to compare the two. The Sig is about $50 higher at my LGS than the Stock 2 is at Bud's.

Which would you pick between the Sig Traditional Match Elite in .45 or the Witness Stock 2 in 10mm?

That Stock 2 has a bull barrel which is cone plus the bigger trigger guard. I like 10mm better than .45 and another thing is 9 rounds versus 15. You can also drop on your favorite conversion on the Stock from 9mm including .45. Both will do just fine!

I just bought a Stock 2 in 10mm , have not taken it to the range yet but one thing going over it did kind of bother me.... the slide was off a bit,, at the muzzle the slide and frame matched perfectly, but as you go back the slide is misaligned to the right.. by the time you get to back by the hammer the slide overhung the frame to the left about two sheets of paper thick. and on the right the frame stuck out about 2 sheets of paper thick... going to the range tomorrow and i hope it shoots straight.... after plopping down $1000 on what is supposed to be the Lamborghini of pistols to have such a factory second defect has me worried.... but if it shoots straight i will keep it ,,, otherwise i am sending that bad boy back..... I will tru to find this thread again tomorrow and let you all know how it turns out...

The Stock II is basically a double action Limited. Good guns. I have a Limited, definitely not parting with it.

Tanfoglio is a pretty big name, all over the world.
