Is there a way to install a light on the front of a trigger guard? Seems like I saw one once someplace. Obviously, this would be a for a gun with no rail/slots on which to add a light.
I saw something similar to a trigger guard mount years ago. Mostly for adding laser sights to 1911s, before accessories started to become popular. Then once lights like the Streamlight TLR-6 became popular, you had lights that would straddle the dust cover and trigger guard even without a rail being there.
What gun are you trying to find a light for? A lot firearms have a very limited selection on what will work without bubba modification.
Middle and to the left. That's a G43X with a trigger guard mounted TLR-6. There are many housing options for different models to choose from. Takes the same battery as the Aimpoint Pro. hardly weighs anything and doesn't interfere with the draw and certainly has no way of going off on it's own.
Now you get to pick the light you actually want for it.
Personal opinion here but if it has to be an M9, may as well be one with the light rail being built in to ease the headache of trying to find the right holster for the light and gun combo.
I recommend getting the Recover Tactical grip/rail as well. I have one for a 1911 and it makes adding a light much more convenient. And it simply comes off when you want to go back to a classic look.
