I'm going to load some 9mm and 38spl loads and have always used cci 500 primers but all the local suppliers are out so i'm thinking of ordering some wolf primers from powder valley, the main question i have is do they feed reliably in dillon machines (sdb press) and what is your thought on using them.

I've loaded over 500 rounds of 9mm and have had no problems. The copper primers also make it easy to find your brass.

+1 in a Dillon 550B

Well, I've run through most of a carton (of 5 thousand) so far and no problems.
That's in a Dillon 550B. Oh, by the way, no other problems - performance is just fine. I was a little leery :scrutiny: buying primers from our ex enemies, but hey, as near as I can tell, just as good as the locally manufactured stuff. I'd guess their stuff is cheaper partly because their lawyers :cuss: can't get away with questionable litigation:fire: and they don't have the same stuff going on with their workers being burdened with the retirement plans that US manufacturers have to deal with :banghead:

Oh, never mind, I feel better now.... back on topic, yes, they work just fine, and they will be the next primers I buy. You may want to check Graf's at www.grafs.com for price comparison. I do like Powder Valley, too, though.
They're good folks.

They are on my list next time I buy primers. I've never seen one bad word about them and they seem to deliver highly consistent ES over the chrono. Lots of people using Dillon (and other) presses have switched to them with no issues.

I've probably loaded close to 3,000 rounds in a Dillon 550 using Wolf large and small standard pistol primers.

No Dillon feed problems, no mis-fires, nothing. Go "bang" every time. Price is right too.

i just bought 5k of the wolf small pistol primers, haven't loaded any yet but i am looking foward to it, great deal for 5k too.

I've used hundreds of Wolf SP, LP, and SR primers; they work great. A couple of months ago I stocked up on 'em. (not gonna say how many, but I'm storing them out of the house)

I'm set for a while. :D
