Does anyone use Wolf primers? Are they any good or are there a lot of duds? I only ask because they are cheaper than everyone else. Thanks.

I have used a few without problems but have a lot more waiting to be used. I have two friends that have used thousands without any problems.

I'm going to try them next time I order primers. There's an awful lot of reputable shooters using their pistol primers with excellent results. I've seen reports of really tight ES over the chrono with them and most agree they feed well through most automated primer systems and fall between Federal and Winchester in "lightability".

I've gone through 1500 of'em, no problems. Like the above poster mentioned, I'm getting tighter extreme spreads with the Wolf Primers, price is right too. I'm sold on them.:)

I have read many good things about them, so I ordered some to put back for a "rainy day". I should have ordered an extra 1000 of each kind to try out, like I did when I ordered the CCI. I guess I can always order a few to try later.

I have loaded 1500 .223 with wolf small rifle primers without a single failure to fire. So far they have preformed flawlessly. Well worth the money savings.

possum, i am not critisizing, but i am curious. why would you order 5k of something you have never tried before? personally, i at least try a small amount of something prior to buying a quanity of it. that way if i dont like it i am not out so much.

I have several and no problems with any of them. I mainly load with the small magnum primer for 223 in my ar and have not had any problems whatsoever. RG

Oh, come now.

why would you order 5k of something you have never tried before?

+1 on "because other people have, and nobody whined about it."

When I ordered my first 5K of Wolf primers, I know with metaphysical certitude that I was NOT the first consumer purchase on the planet, and nobody was whining then. IF I bought a smaller quantity, the smaller the sample, the greater the statistical margin of error.

Besides.... I was feeling lucky. :p

That's one thing I like about this forum. If a product has problems you'll darn sure hear about it here.

As far as Wolf primers; I've never seen any for sale at any shops/stores.

That's because everyone is buying them 5k at a time, even before trying them.:neener: If I had the cash, I'd get 10k right now to try.:what: Too many posts about too many folks shooting thousands of them trouble free for me not to do the same a few bucks cheaper. That's why you don't see them in stores. :D

Wolf are supposed to be very good. At the risk of sounding like my father...lets remember that they are Russian and Russia is not our friend.
