The wolf primers seem to open up the primer pocket a little. I was wondering if anyone has used the tula primers after the wolf and are they the same size? If you used tula primers have you had loose primers in the brass that you used wolf primers in before?

I can't find wolf sp primers anywhere online and it seems they may be packaged as tula now but I'm not sure if the tula is a completely different product.

I really thought they were the same thing. Tul, at least the importer outfit, is in the austin area. I talked to them one time. they were nice. The receptionist even had a clue about what they sold. That alone kind of blew my mind.

I haven't done this, but I'm currently loading both. PV only had Tula SP and Wolf SR. The Wolf primers are harder to seat than the Tula. I don't think they are expanding the brass, I think the brass is compressing the Wold primers.

thelaststand, according to my two calipers, Tula SP primers are same diameter as Winchester/CCI/Magtech/PMC. They take slightly firmer pressure to seat in the press or hand primer as I believe the cups are harder than most - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=7794378#post7794378

For me, it is the Wolf/Tula LP primers that are slightly larger than most and take significantly more effort to seat in the press/hand primer, especially in once-fired or S&B cases with tighter primer pockets.

I'm tired of the S&B cases and don't load them anymore. Every one I find gets set to the side. They'll all get scrapped, sold or given away.
