Greetings all,
At the local shows a fairly large ammo distributor/remanufacture Miwall (http://www.miwallcorp.com/, sells their stuff at outdoormarksman.com and at shows) has a substantial amount of various shotshells.
Last time I was there, I picked up a bunch of Winchester Super-X 12ga 00 buckshot and slugs. Alas, the slugs are incredibly punishing (1600fps), not to mention expensive. The 00 buck is just what I'd expect, but is $2.50/5rds.
Are there any American made "discount" shot/slugs that are available outside of WalMart (I refuse to shop there)?
If not, how do Wolf shot/slugs compare to domestic production stuff? Are they of decent enough quality to get good patterns? How about for HD?
As long as it's consistent, reliable, and cheap I don't mind. I'll save the good stuff for more deserving use, but want something fun at the range and possibly to keep in the tube to keep around the house.
Cheers!
