Got ready to load up some 380acp and opened a new brick of Wolf SP. After I dumped the primers into the tray I remembered reading on here that there were some people who had issues with a recent batch of Wolf SP primers . I did a search and I read thru all the complaint posts on the Wolf SP Primers with the Nickel Cup. I was trying to see if anyone has had problems with Lot# 1-10. I didn't see anything one way or the other. So if anyone has had any experience good or bad with this lot please post it.

Thanks in Advance

Rick.

Off subject but I have had a number of LR primers in the trays that were missing anvils, and had several that anvils dropped out of when I picked then up with the primer pickup tubes. I'm still not convinced that Wolf primers are any better than Winchester or Remington despite the reduced cost.

I bought 5000 Wolf SPP during the dry spell and had a few of the 1st 100 needing a double hit.
I re-adjusted the priming station to the crush setting and had no further problems with the remaining 4900.
I would buy them again without a 2nd thought.

At 1st Wolf was replacing "problem" primers without requiring them to be returned.
So...a lot of people reported "problems" through greed or being reloader challenged.
YMMV

Load'em, shoot'em.

I have no problem with the Wolf's been using the brass color ones for 2 years. Just wanted to be sure about this batch

The only problems I have had with Wolf primers is LP. They were extremely hard to seat.
Both Wolf and TulAmmo LP are 0.001" larger than Winchester but just a bit more effort is needed to seat them. They work fine in Pro 1000 LP primer attachment and Lee hand priming tool.

Although Winchester has been my life-long match ammo standard, Wolf/TulAmmo/PMC primer ignition consistency and shot group accuracy have been comparable to Winchester LP primers.

Here are some primer comparison articles at The Rifleman's Journal.
