I have a O/U with an oil finish that I really like. I've put a couple coats of Birchwood Casey Gun Stock Wax. Is that enough to protect it? How should I care for it long term? Linseed oil? Tung Oil? Wax? Help.

Best to contact the maker and ask what they recommend. Finishes vary greatly.

On oil finishes I've used Tung Oil and Linspeed with decent results.

If you are a hunter I would recommend that you purchase a set of slip on stock and forend covers.
The come in Camo and black and probably brown too.
Best thing going for protecting expensive wood in the field.
