YES - I couldn't get enough of it - bar none, the best meat I have ever had in my life. I ate zebra steaks 3 days in a row and was still wanting more. Top notch - better than filet mignon.
 
Glad you were smart enough to eat the Zebra! I've killed a bunch of African and other stuff and eaten it all--I mean some of it,-- but I passed on Zebra--regretted it ever since. I related it to horse--which I have since eaten several times (good stuff) and made the wrong decision. I DID pass on Hyena and DON'T regret it!!! Girraff was one that even the PH was against eating--excellent, and afterwards, the PH admitted he had been led astray! Waterbuck--supposed to be inedible--the one I shot and ate--excellent. Again, a somewhat chagrinned PH!
 
I wish I would have had the chance to try giraffe and elephant - heard both are excellent.

But the zebra . . . oh my. If you ever get a chance to go back, eat all you can!

BTW - in Namibia, on the coast at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, the oysters are extraordinary!
 
Elephant is something that I've always wanted to try, desperately so, but alas, it remains out of my hunting budget and consequently, I've not been able to sink my teeth into any of it. Bummer!! The girraff--few coments have I seen about its culinary qualities--was simply superb! Rates among the best of venisons I have laid teeth into!
