Took my new Beretta U22 Neos out to the range yesterday and spent the afternoon sighting in the red dot (Bushnell Trophy 1x30mm w/ four reticles).

WHAT A BLAST!! :) It took me too long to buy a 22.

250 rounds of CCI Blazer later and only one FTF, and that was an ammo problem (good clean strike, the round didn't go off). No feed problems, etc. The trigger could use some work, but it's pretty nice for out of the box. There are a couple U22 home trigger jobs out there on the net; anyone have a link for one easy and detailed enough for a complete newbie? :)

This is my 'get rid of flinch/improve trigger pull' gun. A very relaxing, enjoyable experience. I'll post pics when I remember to take them.

I almost got one of these, but then I read all the complaints about the trigger on this gun.

Anyway, glad U like yours :)

Dud rounds are a way of life with rimfire, especially cheap bottom of the line brands. Most will go off with another hit on a different part of the rim.

http://pho3nixserver.no-ip.org/ had instructions with photos on doing a Neos trigger job. I did a non-radical version and improved the trigger greatly. Link seems dead now, I saved the webpage so if you can't connect, PM me with your Email adddress and I'll send you the saved pages.

Of all my .22 pistols the Neos seems to have the fewest failures to fire and stovepipes -- we only shoot the cheap ammo.

If only the safety rotated the "right" way :)

FYI CDNN still lists extra U22 Neos mags for $10 ea. I've stocked up!

Wally: Thanks kindly. PM sent! I agree with you regarding the safety. The other thing I notice in regards to the safety is if it's in the on position and I pick up the pistol the act of getting a good grip seems to want to push the safety off. :p

Is the Deluxe model worth it? It seems that it has adjustable trigger and the color grip. I'm interested in a U22.

I believe you can get the colored grip without going to the deluxe. The primary difference is with the deluxe you get adjustable pre and post travel on the trigger (IIRC).

yeah probably the deluxe is not quite worth the extra money. i might just pick up a stainless 6", although the Beretta 87 Target is tempting :D

FINALLY a post on the Neos!

I'd never owned a .22 handgun. I wanted to get something to teach my new wife shooting, and the Neos was cheap and a Beretta.

I LOVE this gun! I'm not sure what problems people have had with the trigger, but I think it's just fine. My new wife's first magazine was all 8 ring or better. I'm worried about my masculinity now!! LOL
