So this adventure started November of last year when my daughter decided she wanted to give shooting a try for the first time. Fast forward seven months and we are at the World Steel Challenge.

She came here as an A classifier and is leaving as a Master in Rimfire Open Pistol. With one day to go she is 32 overall of 100 shooters, second in A class behind the Junior World champion from three years ago Allie Setting and third in Women's With Jesse Harrison and Allie Setting in front of here. One more day of shooting tomorrow so she could drop a little but none the less she has done an amazing job.

Here best time before going to this event was a 92.31 at our last match in Piru, Ca and she shot a 85.61 at the Worlds with all the pressure of her first big match.

She shot Rimfire Rifle Open as well she's 59th overall of 106 shooters and like 10 in ladies. She shoot the rifle maybe 6 times before we came out.

Well I will post tomorrow how she ends up finishing. So proud of her.

Mike Setting from Pace Setting Designs built both Katie's Open guns and has also been couching her from day one. She could of not done any of this without his help. She will be shooting some USPSA stuff in a few months shooting one of his guns.

Well thanks for checking in. Just one proud dad HAHA

Awesome! That must be a lot of fun and proud moments sharing a passion with your daughter, I’m sure she will remember all the times spent.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some pictures of her guns sometime.

Well we are back at the hotel packing for our trip home tomorrow morning. Had a great time and meet a lot of great people. She finish 34th overall, held onto the second place in A class and finished third in the ladies. This event open her eyes up to what she has to do to compete in the upper levels of this sport. She is one of 74 that qualified for a new class at the Worlds she is now a Master class shooter. She's very excited about doing this at this event as she's been told it really means a lot to make class at a big event like this. I will try to figure out how to load some of her runs. It seams as if they are all too big. :( Well thanks for all the nice comments.

Kudos for the whole team, and you Dad superb job supporting a kidd at any activity just talk great about you.
