We all have those guns we cant hit the side of barn with that some buddy talked us into plunking down 500+ bucks for.....now we just want to trade them off or sell it....for me the worst auto was a Kimber .45 ....would not fire 2-3 rounds without FTF....sent it back twice and came back just as bad as before....the worst part is how much I paid for it.:cuss:
and my friends Kimber shoots like dream with never a FTF, go figure.
Worst shooting to me was my friends Glock .40....snappy recoil and the Glock is just tooooo light for this round IMHO.....glad I never was sucked into a .40.
Second place would have been a interarms Wather PPK 380....shot way way low and to the left and could not shoot a mag without a FTF.:cuss:
I hate and I mean hate those light weight Smiths .357 that leave my hand buzzing for weeks after a full power .357.:cuss::cuss::cuss:
As much cussing I hear on 92fs I never had a FTF in over 5k rounds on mine...it was perfect.....should have never sold it:cuss::cuss::cuss:

I had an RG26, .25ACP. When you quit laughing, I'll explain....

Hmmm, hmm, da dum, da dum....

Okay, now that that's over, this was 30 years ago before carry was legal. I got this thing for 50 bucks new. It functioned fine, never jammed, always went bang, but I couldn't hit SQUAT with it past 10 feet. That's really all I cared about, though.

I also tried shooting one of my buddy's (yeah, the moron has several of 'em) Nagant revolvers. I couldn't even manage the SA on that thing let alone the DA and I'm generally a good DA shooter. MAN, that trigger was crappy! I don't know if the gun might have been accurate, but I couldn't make it shoot straight.

Browning High Power. 30 pound trigger pull(more or less). By the time the thing actually went off(eternity between beginning of trigger pull and hammer fall) you were lucky to still be pointing in the general direction of the target.Traded that sucker for a Dan Wesson Model D11. Best trade I ever made!

MCgunner, that's long distance shooting out to 10 feet. Try a .32 Iver Johnson (1961-62), revolver with a 2" barrel. Couldn't hit any part of the barn---even standing inside it. It did go bang though...(I still have it, can't give it away).

my Raven .25. It's another "throw the gun at the perp" type pistol. The last time I shot it, it misfed or ejected improperly 14 of 14 tries after which I threw it into a bag where it still sits, probalby for another 25 years.

Lately, it seems any handgun I shoot is "Off". Must be the guns, dont you think?LOL

Taurus Model 85 snub nose revolver

I could only hit a 12" target (at all) with half the shots at 10 yards.

Hmm, one of my fun things to do over the years is plinking at a 14" gong at 100 yards with my M85SSUL Taurus ultralite. I could ring it about 3 out of 5 shots shooting from roll over prone. It will group 3" at 25 yards from the bench.

Think maybe it was YOU?

Keltec p32. 5 yard range before my groups opened up large enough to fit an Oprah into.

Well... five yards is about the range P32s (and pretty much all pocket pistols) are meant for. Seven tops. But yes, if you're shooting at small targets at 10 yards or more, it's going to be tough.

I have a P32, and IMO the problems are the crappy sights and the long trigger pull. Both can be overcome with practice.

My .357 Rossi snubbie, Hitting the target is fine (pretty darn good for a snubbie). The darn thing will beat the crap out of you using full house loads.

For whatever reason every Glock I have ever shot.
But the worst gun I ever shot was a Safari arms 1911, they had ghost ring sights and a finger groove cast into the frame, it was ugly and jammed at least once every magazine.

Hmmm, and I hear that the Delta Force is retiring the venerable HK PSG1 so they can replace it with the Taurus M85SSUL, supposedly it is much easier to carry. :neener:

I just shelfed the Keltec p32 and got a new Kahr p380. The Kahr can reliably land headshots at 10yards if you have time to aim it.

I just believe that the trigger control and sight alighnment that the Keltec p32 requires, just isn't going to happen under stress. No way I stand any chance of aiming that thing when my adrenaline is dumping.

I can point shoot with the Kahr out to 7yds, couldn't do that with the p32. I do wish that the front sight on the Kahr was thinner. Maybe Warren will make some Sevigney sights for it....

I had a Taurus .22 revolver that jammed a lot. Takes genius to make a revolver that jams.

Beretta Tomcat -- hands-down the absolute firearm I've ever shot, bar none -- and that was only when it would work, which was seldom. But then again, it's true that most of us will have better luck with some brands than others, just because of the way they are built or structured or feel in our hands. I'm not a big fan of the trigger on a Glock, for example, and have never had good luck with them -- and lots of folks love their Glocks. It's always the same old saw: What works for you might not work for me, and vice versa.

So far the worst handgun I shot was a glock (23?) .40 caliber. It functioned fine and was accurate, but the recoil left my hands vibrating and the trigger left my finger feeling sore somehow. I am young however, and I am sure there are many more bad apples to try!

Worst shooting pistol: Ruger SR9, Kimber Pro Carry. I couldn't keep a bullet from either inside the county much less the barn. My Taurus 85 and Hi-Power are great shooters but the first 2 were c$*p. Sold both quick before anyone else found out the same bad news I did.

The Beretta 96. At CCW qualification, a guy failed to put a single shot on the paper with his rental Beretta. The only hole was the one that the instructor put in the bulleseye, to make sure there was nothing wrong with the gun. (The guy ultimately passed the test, shooting from half the distance, btw.)

This story would otherwise be unremarkable, except he blamed the performance on the gun, maintaining that he preferred SIGs.

So for you marketing guys at SIG, if you are interested in tracking this guy down for an endorsement deal, I can provide you with some more details. Just imagine. "Guy who can't hit broadside of a barn endorses SIG."

I bought a Beretta Minx from a friend thinking I could make it work, a .22 short. Only gave him 100 bucks. It was a jamamatic and only capped about 2 out of 3 at best. I never did get it to work so I could find out if I could hit anything with it. Sold it to a dealer at a gun show for a 35 dollar profit and didn't feel a bit guilty. :D He bought it on brand recognition probably figuring "it's a Beretta, can't be bad". Actually, I figure he knew HE could sell it for a profit on the brand. Pitty the poor fool that wound up with it.

Agreed--I guess that's why they call them "get off me" guns.
