Would anyone buy a taurus .357??

Over the years I've always read, and heard, the "experts" bemoaning S&W's fall from "the good old days" of QC. Taurus doesn't use a hole in the side of the gun for a lock, nor do they use 2 piece barrels.

Oh yes they do to use two peice barrels. My model 85 has a barrel shroud as did the 44 tracker I owned.

I still own the 85 and have complaints with it. And I have shot it quite a bit. My biggest problem with Taurus guns has been the cylinder not lining up with the bore. I would buy another Taurus but only if I can look at it in person. No buying one off the auction sites.

Clem Looks like a model 10 sw i have or my dw revolvers that are 35 years old or a buddies ruger srh. Or several sw at the gun shop down the road..
My 2 taurus revolvers have been very good ones. Old and good. IF I was looking for a new revolver I would look at a taurus the same way I would a sw or ruger.

In the last 35 years or so I have owned a number of revolvers, and have owned most all of the brands currently available. We have spent/wasted a lot of dollars on crap, and have figured out the difference between quality and crap...and refuse to keep buying crap. You may spend your dollars as you please, but one-two-three years from now you will be posting here with "woe is me" stories, and we will be saying, why didn't you do a search?

Your original question was, "would you buy a Taurus .357"?
My answer is "no", and if you asked why, my follow-up would be "do a search".

Wow Orion that's a lot of links that don't work. I figured that may ruffle some feathers. Obviously your one of the people I speak of. As far as my Taurus revolver is concerned I couldn't be more happy with it.
