Would Someone Please Explain What a Toaster Has To Do With An AR10??????

It was ArmaLite's way of tweaking Springfield Armory. SA was advertising their "loaded" series of M1As, so ArmaLite came up with the idea of including a toaster in with their rifles. As if they were saying, "Our rifle comes with featurs X, Y, and Z, AND a toaster!"

Goofy if you ask me.

So if you buy an AR-10B, you get a toaster?

SWEET.

To be honest, an AR-10B is something I wouldn't mind owning. Not anything I'd spend money on anytime now, espeically what with having my FAL (after all, the AR-10 brings with it many things I don't like about the AR-15, though it fixes the ill-conceived location of the charging handle), but the AR-10B is classic enough in looks to appeal to me.

Do they really come with toasters, though?

Ya know what really bites my yarbles; company's that call themselves big names that they have absolutly nothing to do with! Armalite & Springfield armory AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGG:cuss: :barf:

ain't it amazing what EagleArms bought in the Philipines?

As if this unique rifle wasn’t enough, we’ve brought back the toaster.
You remember the toaster. It’s our answer to the folks who want to build cheap rifles from imported surplus parts, packaged “deals†of overpriced goodies, or
who just build inexpensive rifles that kinda sorta look like ours. The new, Gen 3 Toaster features bagel-handling capability, and is marked with the new/old
Pegasus logo. It is an electrically operated, two slice, air cooled, automatic toaster of 32mm capacity. This is the finest toaster in the firearms market. A genuine
$8.95 value! And it’s FREE with the purchase of an ArmaLite AR-10B rifle.

Keeterdag - you hit on one of my pet peeves: Carpetbagging :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: $ who buy a name to give their sorry :cuss: some legitimacy. They even had the gall to copyright some nomenclature so they could name their counterfeit products as if they were the real McCoy.

Mike Irwin: Does it say Model 19 on the lighter or are you guessing it's a Model 19? Could be many S&Ws if it looks like a Model 19?

Those are just 4 of about 2 dozen or so Zippos that have been made with S&W themes.

Check out this site if you want to see them all...

Zip back through the site to see the Zippos that have been made with Colt, Ruger, Beretta, etc., themes...

"Rare NIB AR10, unfired; toaster never plugged in"

In thirty years, we'll probably see collectors paying two hundred bucks for an unused Armalite souvenir toaster if all of the packaging is intact.

That's why I don't collect my guns, I shoot them :) Collecting for value implys that you're going to sell them. I don't like selling guns. I like shooting guns :D

Cool. We need a new toaster at home.

"Oh, honey, I bought a new toaster, and look what I got with it!"

:D

Buy a gun ... get a toaster?

Don't you know toasters are dangerous? Children get burned and electrocuted every day with these things.

Where's Michael Moore? We need a picture of this transaction! Show people walking out of a gun shop brandishing toasters, working the action, shooting English Muffins at innocent passersby.

Regards.

Ah dunno, a vacuum is a lot more expensive than a toaster...

Maybe you should talk to Barrett...

:D

Maybe the folks who marketed the Crossfire could include a vacuum in their next marketing ploy. The would ad line could be: "Buy a new Crossfire and get a vacuum cleaner that actually sucks more than the rifle/shotgun!":neener:

You buy a vacume cleaner at "THE Shootist" in Youngtown AZ. It's a gun shop and a Licenced Kirby assault vacume repair center/distributer. It also has the best museum this side of Cody WY. About 6-800 guns (not Kirby's):D

Ok I want this both because I like the .308 AR-10 with the old style charging handle under the carry handle and because I want to say I bought a toaster and got a free gun with it.

Where do I sign.

So how do we know if it's a battle toaster or an assault toaster, anyway?

Does it come in a carbine version?

:D
