I always thought this was the perfect accessory for an M4.
Thought I'd see if anybody else liked these, then maybe we'll call Mark Serbu if there is enough of us. :D

Would you want an 18" (or shorter for a small "donation") shotgun attached to your AR-15?

Obviously varmint accuracy would be down the crapper, but I bet it still would be reasonably kosher inside 150 yards.

PTK- If KAC sells it, I can't afford it. Thats the Rem version in the picture, think it's only for military sales.

Other than possibly blowing a lock off/out, what purpose does that serve? What can it do, practically speaking, than you couldn't already do with the M4? Maybe have the option for a less-than-lethal shot?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you NEED a purpose to have one. Just wondering what benefits it offers.

well it can shoot 12ga rounds for one.

And I know I would have a grin ten miles wide if I had one.

Ive seen that pic around a few times. Seems to me that operating the pump action would be very inconvenient in that position. If we're talking "things I'm not allowed to have" anyway.. like 45-nut said, may as well fantasize about the m203 instead.

Back when I was 18 I had a EA-15 A2 20inch barrel.and a mossberg 500.
One day I saw a ad for a kit so you could atach that 12 gauge under
you'r AR-15.
So I orderd it and it looked real cool, but boy was it heavy.
I had seen it in the punisher war journal comic book.
when the punisher's clip was out on his m-16 he whent for the shotgun under his M-16 and would shoot the 12gauge while he ran for cover to reload.
Another place I'v seen that set up is predator with arnold, the indian had one on his m-16.
But that said; yes I would buy one again so let me know wher I can get one.

Very interesting.

For those of you guys saying you'd prefer the M203, bear in mind that it's only single-shot.... AND you can load up the shotgun with FRAG-12 12-gauge grenades

Impractical to pump, but it would be useful as a last ditch defense.

Here's a link to KAC's page on the masterkey:
http://www.knightarmco.com/m203_12ga.html

It would make the gun front-heavy, but you could balance it out if you buy a purposefully heavy optic.
If you could mount it on an AR-10, that would be really something... balance out the recoil of the .308 round

DMK, if I only bought useful firearms I would have about three (instead of a few more than three). I get excited by video game looking guns like the Steyr AUG or the Robarm M96 top feed. I'm all about having fun shooting, not on justifying my purchases to normal standards of logic. Rock on video game gun owners, rock on!

Honestly, you couldn't give me a masterkey or 203. After using both i'm so sick of carrying them. They make the weapon so nose heavy it's rediculous. They are cool to play with on a limited basis though. Definatly one of those play with it and give it back type toys.
