If you could buy this SIG for $570, would you. It is a SIG P220 DAO. The gun is a CPO and looks brand new. Can't tell if it has been shot or not. I don't know much about the DAO SIGS, so any opinions on the gun would be great.

Sigs are good guns but DAO is generally not desirable, especially when it comes time to trade/sell. I would neither consider that a bad deal nor a steal.

You're obviously checking GB. Add in the transfer fees on both ends.

I'd pass it up, but then again, to buy a DAO handgun it better be a heck of a deal for me.

It's not rare to find them at that price so you won't be kicking yourself for passing it up if you do.

Pre-Owned SIGS are refinished at the factory. $550 is normal for a CPO SIG. I don't like DAO, some however prefer DAO.

Well, I wouldn't, but only because of the DAO design. I would like a Sig P220. A loacal store carries them but doesn't currently have one in stock:( but if they'd get their act in gear and get one, I'd buy it!

How is the trigger pull on the DAO SIGS??
it is the same as the first trigger pull on a DA/SA Sig...about 12lbs

the DAO sort of fell out of favor when Sig introduced the DAK which brought the DAO trigger pull under 10lbs

I would probably get it if it wasn't DAO.. From my understanding DAO was created for liability issues for police departments. (no cocked and ready to kill arguments. Correct me if I am wrong.) Any modification made for political reasons is not a good one, and I would stay away from it. However, you might look into seeing if you can get a normal trigger group for it. Does anyone know if you can simply swap out the trigger parts?

Assuming this is a DAO as it appears to be and not a DAK, it will have the same pull as the first pull of a DA/SA model for every shot. It is smooth, but somewhat heavy and quite long. I could never shoot very accurately with that pull myself. I would pass unless by some chance you get to give it a "test drive" first.

No, don't like the Sig DAO at all. Typically there is not much love for the DAO Sig for good reason. The trigger makes it hard to shoot well.

That is a good price on any Sig and like some have already mentioned the CPO'S as a rule are good as new. I would not hesitate to buy one anytime.

I have a P226 and love the SA for double tap - can't imagine the appeal of DAO, If you could change the trigger group you would also need the decocking lever - sounds like a bugger's muddle to me. Tempting . . . but money better spent on the right pistol. You'd be kicking yourself.

If I could get it down a good bit lower (say $500), the parts for the DA/SA conversion run about $75, then I'd be more interested in it.
