Would you trade FALs for SCAR 17S ?

SCAR 17S valued at $2550

Fal (DSA) $1600

So should I trade my FALs for more SCAR 17S ?

This again? Really? In another thread you claimed to have a total of 15 SCARs, IIRC, 12 16s's and 3 17s's. If you have 15 SCARs what does it matter? You got taken to task for trolling in that thread. In another thread you ask about the relative performance of the SCAR and the FAL, two guns you claim to own, multiples of each in fact. Why don't you make a thread about something other than the number of SCARS and FALs you own?

I gather we are to take it from the pictures that these are guns you really do own? Why didn't you get a shot with the other 13 SCARS you've claimed to own?

I don't think so. FAL will be a hard comodity soon, Sphinx is a superb pistol and not abundant (best clone of CZ by the way). Lastly, SCAR are over priced (IMHO) and prices are slowly down lately.
Let me confess I'm totally biassed about CZ (85B) and FAL rifle. Eventhough, I shoot, have other brands.

Troll post with no logical point. :banghead:

Here's my answer, sell the extra rifles, keep 1 of each. Then, donate some of your over abundance of cash (and likely time) to a charity of your choosing.

Army-ranger-If you really have these weapons, I submit that the only way you'll prove you're not a troll is to take a photo. And come up with a creative way to prove it's your photo, not something you've pirated or photoshopped. Unless and until you do this, do not expect to be taken seriously here.

I move that without evidence in the form of pictures of this alleged SCAR/FAL collection army-ranger has, mods immediately delete these threads of his about trading.

Can you prove yourself? A pic of your FAL with a piece of paper with your user name would suffice. If you are bs-ing (IMHO that is what you are doing) please come back when you are a little older.

The SCAR-17 doesn't do anything better than the FAL besides mounting optics easier. And it's lighter. Not worth the premium over a reliable FAL carbine.

The SCAR is also notably more accurate than every FAL I've seen. FALs tend to be 2-3 MOA at best, SCARs are sub MOA guns.

Mag changes are faster and easier on the SCAR than the FAL. The controls are simply better laid out.

I love how easy it is to preform a quick barrel change on the FAL, oh wait.

I like the FAL but the SCAR is superior in almost every quantifiable way.

When you buy a DSA with comparable features the FAL is not even that much less expensive than a SCAR.

Again, the FAL is one of my favorites, but it is no surprise it is bested by a design that came about 6 decades later.

Yeah, you're right. I mean, besides being fully ambidextrous, having a free floated, quick change barrel, folding stock that's length adjustable and has a folding comb, monolithic upper with a full length rail, integral folding sights, quick adjust gas regulator, additional rails at 3, 9, and 6 o'clock, and weighing less than 8lbs, just what advantages does the SCAR 17 have, anyway*?

Absolutely. SCAR is lighter, more ergonomic and ambi, comes with better sights and an optics rail. The way I see it, unless you're looking for a boat anchor, everything the FAL can do, the SCAR can do better. The 17S is one of my dream rifles, I fondle every single one that I find.
