Would you want to be buried with one of your firearms?

Would you want to be buried with any of your firearms? Anyone made plans to do this? Odd question perhaps, but I think it would be nice to be buried with a gun that I care deeply for.

Sadly, I've had to think about it this week while doing paperwork.

Part of me says yes, I want X to go with me. However, anything that means something to me would mean much more to my sons. So, I'm torn.

Bit of a waste to take it with you. However, I may buy one just to take with me. Consider it my last action for "the cause".

I have thought about getting creamated in a pine box with thousands and thousands of 1/2" nails then I want to be thrown out on I-95 so all them AHoles can get a flat tire from me.

I'd like it but I'd do it with a nonfunctional beater probably and I bet cemetary regulations will disallow it. You would have tpo be sure someone didn't snag it either.

My main only wish I have come up with is whether i am buried or cremated, I'd like some dirt from the Holy Land to be included with my burial dirt or scattered along with my ashes. My ashes I wish to have scattered at an informal shooting spot in a free state.

I have never thought of it before, and I do plan on leaving all my guns to my sons and daughter (along with hopefully a passel of grandkids some day), but I can see having a lil marlin 60 or similar slid into the lining of my casket. (I have spent more "quality" time with one of these than probably anything else). It would not be a great loss to the world, nor an expensive one. In fact now that I think of it, I do have an old MG 75 with a cut down stock that I think would be just perfect for it.

If any are planning this...

make sure whoever is designated to get the gun into the casket just before the lid is shut knows that the person in the casket is laying on a type of shelf that does NOT go all the way to the edge of the casket.

What could happen is that as the person is trying to slip the firearm under the hand of the person in the casket then the firearm could slip off of the shelf and make a rather loud clanging noise in a very quiet church.

While there are some who believe this was the source of the noise at my father's funeral, as the one standing at the casket at the time I will continue to claim the noise was the gates of heaven being flung open for his welcome.

Nope... I want to be cremated and then my ashes scattered over the Brady HQ's property. I'd like to consider that my remains will go out "Old Testament" style by salting the fields so that nothing more can grow there.
