8/10 Missed the 338 Talbot and Ackley Improved questions; why couldn't I get just two lucky answers. OK, got lucky with Lone Wolf, but it was an educated guess. Really
10 for 10 on both quizzes. Guessed on Lone Wolf McQuade, but then I never saw the movie nor am I particularly intrested in seeing it. Shame that Winchester did not use the 250 Savage case. Makes more sense to me.
8 out of 10 on the first quiz. I haven't seen Lone Wolf McQuade in a LLOOONNNGGGG time. For those who haven't seen it, this is by far, the very best Chuck Norris movie ever.
I've never heard of the .338 Talbot, and couldn't imagine someone necking the .50 BMG down to it......and he's from my hometown!!
On the second quiz, I was 9 out of 10. Kept vacillating between 1933 & 1935 on when the Swift came out; should have vacillated one more time.
I had to think hard though, as to what cartridge Elmer developed loads for that was brought out by Remington. He developed loads in the .44 SPECIAL, that were morphed into the .44 Magnum, but I went with the key part of the question as to Remington offering it.
Was off on the Ackley, never met the gentleman in Q #4, and I'd never heard of the Talbot or Lone Wolf McQuade. At least I got Question #1 right. If I hadn't, I'd probably get kicked out of my family. That ain't gonna happen.
Well I got a score of 5/10. Two (2) answers I knew (44 Mag) and (Sweets).. Two (2) answers I took a educated guess at (Carbon Fiber Wrapping) because it sounded logical and because I've seen the 'Lone Wolf McQuade' movie on T.V. a couple of times I figured it was the Winchester 70. Out of the last six (6) questions I got a lucky answer on one (1). Which one I have NO idea.
<p>I agree with some of you though. THAT wasn't a gun nut quiz. Most of the questions had to do with wildcat calibers.. of which I know nothing.
