the last gun show I been to. was last month, one guy had just one sks. he wanted 595, I asked if he was on drugs, asking that much,, he said he wasnt,I said well you have to be on something,,you must be crazy..
yes prices on all that goes bang, went way out of sight, and I dont see it coming back down soon,Ihave a sks, I added a folding stock.and the big 30 round mags,I did how ever keep all the hardware along with the stock,,Im thinking of putting it back like it was,,

Well, if the prices do go down by the end of 2012 then it will be pointless because the world will end on December 2012. ;)

As soon as Obama is out of office and when the Reps take back the white house then I am sure prices will return to a reasonable status. Oh and don't forget getting the Dems out of the legislative branch, at least they haven't really supported the idea of a new "assault:what:" weapons ban.

If they believed that it would not cost them enough to lose the majority in the House or Senate, they would try to pass certain 'unpopular gun/ammo bills" now.
What else can be stopping them, after these huge pork spending bills are done with?

Certain Democratic Senators and Congressmen (women) who are pro-gun have given the arrogant academic types (Pelosi-Frank, etc) more to think about, along with memories of how the NRA's leadership helped cost Al Gore the election.

But this hasn't cooled much of the gun-buying panic, has it? The good news (for some) is that AR prices have about reached their peak, due to so many companies building them now. And there are many "AK" WASRs standing around gun shops and shows.

My favorite gun shop had a couple of dozen "unissued" Yugo's a few weeks ago. The hang tags said $449.00. That's a lot more than what I paid for mine a couple of years ago, but it ain't a couple of years ago anymore. Judging by the fact that there were only two or three left a week or so ago, I'd have to guess (1) the shop took all but those two or three and hid them in the back, or (2) peoeple are buying them at that price.

I'd bet on #2.

I'd probably sell mine too for that price and throw a couple hundred rounds of ammo I've got to boot.

last fall I bought a sks with about a thousand rounds for $150, I bought it from the husband of a girl I work with, she made him sell it becuse "he didn't know how far bullets went" he apperently was shooting across his backyard and missed his neighbor by a couple of feet, I felt like I got a hell of a deal when I bought it in october and boy am I glad i bought it now:neener:
