Would someone explain to me the difference in the WRF, WMR, and the Remington Special. Thank you
James

Winchester Rim Fire is an obsolete cartridge slightly bigger than the 22 Long Rifle.

The Winchester Magnum Rimfire is the 22 Magnum commonly seen since 1959.

I am not familiar with the Remington Special. Maybe the same as the 22 WRF but renamed by Remington for stamping on their rifles?

The rifle I'm asking about is the Remington 12C. It is marked for
Remington Special. Would either of the two be the suitable?
James

Remington Special is a renamed WRF (Winchester RimFire). I believe they did it because Remington couldn't stand to have anything that stands for Winchester stamped on their gun.

WRF = Remington Special
WMR > WRF / Rem Special
WRF / Rem Special > 22lr

CCI makes runs of WRF every now and then, you can usually find it at Cabelas.
