I bought 5000 Winchester large pistol primers a few months ago from a gun store for $110. When I got them home I stored them as I already had an open sleeve and wanted to use the old ones first. Now I wish I had bought 50,000 at that price.
When I opened the package I found it had already been opened. This gun store also sells primers by the 100 count tray.
One of the trays is Federal Large Pistol Magnum primers.
I figure somebody wanted a 100 tray of Win LP and opened a box and somebody stuck a tray of Federal Mag LPs in to fill the box.
This shop is quite firm in their policy of ammo and components are sold "as-is" no refunds or exchanges.
I do load for .44 mag but my loads all call for Win LP primers which are good for Mag or Std.
How should I use the Federal Mag LPs? There's only 100 of them so I don't want to have to work up a new load for a batch that will only be 100 total.
I am using 9.4 gr Titegroup and 240-gr lead SWCs out of a 7.5 barrel SRH.
