WTK info on the RIA/Armscor polymer MAPP1

Howdy

Anyone know the deal with these pistols? They're supposedly the product of a licensing deal between Armscor and Tangfolio due to Armscor manufacturing some of the Tangfolio components. They are sold here under the Rock Island Armory name and the MAPP1 has a polymer frame (the MAP1 has a steel frame). I am interested in hearing about the polymer framed MAPP1.

These are copies of the small frame Tangfolio Witness P.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Heard about them? Durability, etc? Are they up to the Tangfolio standard?

Looks just like the one sold by EAA in the states. Does it have a price advantage and who carries it?

Not sure about a price advantage. I was looking at it due to the lifetime warranty and good customer service I hear about with RIA (as opposed to the bad CS I hear about with EAA). Another reason I am interested in this one is that I've not seen an EAA with the slabsided slide with forward cocking serrations ( all the EAA polys I've seen have rounded slides at the front ).

Nice looking pistol. But for a little more you can get the FNP-9 which is a terrific gun. (I know, I have one)

Among my reasons for wanting one of these is the veritable cornucopia of compatible magazines.

Any CZ75 magazine and almost any CZ75 clone magazine will work in them.

I passed up a polymer EAA Witness P in .45 at the gun show t'other day (it was priced very nicely) because I don't fancy paying high dollar for spare mags.

Anyone own an EAA Witness-P S/A Polymer Compact Pistol?

Same pistol, different markings and marketer.

I figure the Witness and the RIA/Armscor are all made in the same place, anyway (and seem to be the same price ).

I have the MAP1 steel frame version. Excellent gun and like it even better with trigger breaking in. Not to say RIA excellent customer service and life time warranty, they use the common small frame mags while EAA switched to large frame couple years ago.
