I read that WV had recently established reciprocity with FL, SD, OH, and NC, and that the AG has been empowered to pursue agreements with other states.

Does anyone know whether WV has any plans to pursue reciprocity with Texas in the near future? (WV does not recognize non-resident permits, so my VA NR permit is useless for WV carry).

Not possible.

IIRC, the Texas reciprocity law requires that only states with the same or more strict background and training/classroom requirements are eligible for reciprocity. WV is less strict than Texas. That is one reason why Texas is likely to be one of the few that gains reciprocity with Nevada.

I too would like reciprocity with WV. Why are the WV State Police being such jerks about the non-resident permits. I have FL and VA as well. WV could recognize non-res permits and solve the whole thing.

anyguy, not so. Texas recognizes the licenses from Indiana which has no training provision (only $25 for 4 years and $120 for a lifetime license).

For, you can add Indiana. But we are a gimme, Indiana law recognizes the license to carry of all states and foreign countries.
