I have an old German Mauser K98, coded "byf 44" its been sportized many years ago, I'm guessing in the 1950's, Anyways my question is regarding 3 screw on the left side of the receiver. Are they for scope mounts? Factory or something that was added? I have seen a few of the German K98's at Kittery Trading Post and Cabela's, but none have had these screw holes or with scopes on them. Thanks for any help
