I decided lately to pick up some factory ammo since Miwall is having a hard time filling orders for their remanufactured stuff.

So i went to Wally World and picked up a couple of boxes of WWB 9mm and another couple hundred rounds of CCI Blazer Brass at another sporting goods store.

This evening when putting the rounds into 50 rd boxes, I discovered that one box had 101rd(good for me:D ) and the other box had.............85rds(hell no:cuss: ).

I'm heading back tomorrow to see if they'll exchange it, otherwise i guess i'll have to start counting at the sporting goods counter:neener: .

I'm not sure about your Walmart but most retailers I know of do not exchange ammo. They may give you a free box or something, but I think it's a liability to them (or at least they see it that way) to accept ammo that may have been tampered with outside the store. Either way, now I have to go count all my boxes of WWB 9mm. :)

Yeah, 85 is ridiculous. Unfortunately it's kind of hard to prove that you didn't just take out the ammo ( though the extra trip to scam 15 rounds of 9mm would seem a bit silly ). I actually got a good box myself the other day, 101 rounds in a 100 box of winchester 9s.

Even if Wally World would take it back, (they won't), unless you counted the rounds at the counter, they wouldn't anyway. Same goes for RX meds; Count your pills right there with the pharmicist or pharm tech watching, particularly if they are psychotropics or painkillers. People try to scam extras by claiming some were missing, and it has happend that pharm techs have stolen them before they hit the bottle. (The pills, not the techs...:p ) And yes, I work at one, and am sick of the constant bashing here on THR.

I'm closing this before it descends into the same vitriolic snooze-fest that is the fate of every Wal*Mart thread.

Consider talking to Wal*Mart, but also write a letter to Winchester with your complaint, and include the lot number. They should probably be pretty responsive.
