Need help with load for this bullet. I have HP-38 & IMR 700x can't find load data for this bullet ,powder combo. Any suggestions or point me where I can find it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Go to the Hodgdon website.

They have data for a 125 Berry with both of your powders.
It is close enough you won't get in trouble.

Your OAL may be different based on your guns chamber leade and ogive shape.

Do the 'Plunk Test' with your barrel to find out.

In 9mm I load Xtreme 124gr bullets to full Jacketed data because it doesn't exceed that particular plated bullets speed limit with the copper plating.

I will and have ran them at over maximum 124 gr jacketed data for many years and have had no problems period.

You'd have to get pretty crazy with your 124gr bullets to exceed 1250fps with your 9mm luger.

I load Xtreme 124gr HP with W231 - same as HP-38.

my loads are 4.3gr seated at 1.100 gets avg 1010fps for target shooting.

If I load 4.4 I get around 1025-1036fps.:)

I shoot these from a STAR 30M 9mm.

Use jacketed data. Hodgson's website is a good place to start. Speer's data is another good one. Xtreme's 9mm HPs are heavy plate and can be loaded up to 1500fps. You won't get anywhere close to that with published data in a 9mm Luger case.

Refer to sierra 5th edition for load data for 9mm and 700x. The hodgdon load data is an awfully low load. Be careful and work the load up slowly, 700x gets the pressure up quick in 9mm. I developed a accurate and fast load that I am very happy with.
