XD refinishing slide.

I have a XD that I bought from a gun a while back and it looks like the slide need to be refinished. I have no experience with it. Are those birchwood kits good for re-bluing a gun? Or where is a place that will finish it for a good price?

Send it back to Springfield, they may recoat it for you free of charge. It'll be cheaper, look better, and last longer than anything you do on your own.
