I have been hearing rumors about folks are having problems with XD45 magazines, anyone else having these problems?
I have had mine for sometime and nothing at all, just curious.

I have a dozen XD45 mags, a mix of 10rnd compact mags and the 13rnd mags and have had zero problems. This is with 3 different XD45s and probably close to 2K total rounds in all of them. I did replace the mag springs with AGP, not because I had any FTFs, but I thought the springs "felt" a little weak to me.

No problems with mine. You know how it is, people who consider a mechanical problem with their car normal will get on line and go on and on about the tiniest mechanical problem with a firearm.

If you try to shoot semi-wadcutters you will. On most XD45s, SWCs will catch the rim of the brass being extracted on the ridge of the SWC bullet of the next round in the mag, causing a fun jam to clear. This has the added bonus of punching that top round in the mag hard into the back of the magazine which will cause them to bend outward or even crack. Now your mags won't drop free and some may even grate the back of the mag well nicely on insertion. You can usually fix the bulge with needlenose pliers to flatten it back out again.
In summary, don't shoot SWC in your XD45. Some will function with them but most will not and these mags are expensive.

Your rumors are coming from Glock Talk, a website that is full of great info, but also a website that despises the XD, best to check around to get better info. That place is the High Road.....

Check it out.
