.22 conversion for XD45?

With the price of ammo, I am really starting to think more about the wonders of shooting .22 LR. A year or so ago I heard rumors that someone might be making a .22 conversion for the XD45 like Kimber makes one for 1911s.

Anyone know the truth of this?

I pray daily for one! XDs would replace my two Glocks if this ever come about.
