XD9 or used Sig

Hi, I was planning on making my first firearm purchase and bi-tone 4" XD9. While I was at the local gun show one of the dealers saw me checking out the XD9. He asked if I needed any help, I told him I was looking for a 9mm for mostly range, but SD as well. He pointed to a P9 (I believe he said), and said I should get that one. It was a used police trade in.

So my question is should I get a brand new XD-9, or a used Sig?

my suggestion would be to hold both and see which one feels better. both are very good guns

I'm really not a SIG fan, but I like the XD's less -- I say go w/ the SIG

I bet he was pointing at a P6. Just got my second one. Great deal from Aim Surplus for $259. But I love my XDs too. Only answer........get both.

Both are great...if you can afford it, get both. If not...eat more Ramen I guess.

The XD9 was my first handgun purchase, like you, and is still my only handgun---best $ decision ive made in awhile, zero regrets

I voted XD 9MM because I like the XD platform. I do not care for Sigs, although they are fine firearms.

i have 2 xd's and i wouldn't hesitate to buy more, and there are few no wait no other gun that i would choose over the xd series.
