Replaced the front sight on my Hi-Power with an XS Sight's Standard Dot - very handy for quick sight acquisition. I noticed an immediate improvement in my times and the customer service from the company was nothing short of incredible. I also shot some surprisingly tight groups with them (and I wasn't trying to shoot groups either).

There was some difficulty with the original installation of the sights that was totally outside the realm of their responsibility; but XS stepped right up and corrected the problem on their own dime.

Great product and great company... now I just have to get over my reluctance to lose the traditional rear sights.

I have the XS 24/7 Big Dots on my Kimber Pro Tac II and my 640-1. I agree that the sights are excellent. I could get similar results with the factory sights but not nearly as quickly as I can with the XS dots. You can also still get good results, at greater distances, with the larger dot. You just need to shift your aim to the top of the circle instead of covering the target with the dot.

Please provide a link. This sounds like a must-read! Thanks fellas!

I recently installed XS Big Dots on a S&W 340SC and a Ruger SP101. The sights improve the speed of target acquisition.

The only down side is that on a pocket carry pistol the sight may adversely effect the ease of release from the holster. This happened to me with the 340SC in a Kramer pocket holster, but slightly altering my draw and a bit of practice solved the problem.

I have xs sights on my cz pcr,I love em.I agree,I'm not very fast, but they sure help speed wise.

kart racer,

Did you install the sights your self? I am looking at getting the big dot sights for my CZ 75 Semi Compact. Can you post a picture of your PCR with the sights.

I put a standard tritium XS front on a carry 1911, because the XS has the most visible white outline of all the night sights I'm aware of. An excellent unit, but trying to put the rounded top of the front sight in the squared notch of the MMC rear drove me insane. With an Ashley rear it would be okay, but I went back to a squared front.

I have the XS big dots on two of my pistols. One is a Colt CCO and its a tack driver...the second is a LDA Para Carry 12 that I just got...looks promising though.

I have the Big Dots on a G19 and a SIG 226 and they work great. You do have to get use to using them as they work just a tad diffrent that traditional post and notch sights. Once you get the hang of them they are fast and accurate.

New Guy,sorry, been away for awhile,I'll try to get a decent photo posted for ya.I bought the pistol with the sights installed. For me,as long as the dot is on the target-you're there.

Just the front sight? Standard (i.e. factory) rear sights or something else?

I've been curious about XS sights for a long time but haven't taken the plunge. Thinking about them on a Glock 17 right now...

I have them on my G19 and had them on my now sold G26. I couldn't even imagine using any other sight for a social gun.

I had a hard time buying in fully with the express rear sight because I have so much time with regular sights, so I only replaced the front sight post on mine.

I would note that the dot does lend itselt to shooting a bit low if you use the top of the dot/post as the point of aim. It works better if you just cover the target with the dot.

I've never tried the smaller of the two. I like the bigger dot as it is and couldn't even imagine wanting to try the smaller dot. I realized how much I like these sights after taking my first defensive pistol class.
