Yale Singers incite Riot

Based on the choice of epithets, I suspect the 'riot' was caused more by the sight of a bunch of nerds singing a cappella rather than choice of song.

Hate Crime

Now there's something new.

A hate crime -- they hate patriotism.

And, since patriots would seem to be a minority, it's a hate crime against a minority.

Let's see, list of what SF residents hate . . .
  • soldiers
  • guns
  • whites
  • heterosexuals
  • babies (but not "children")
  • guns
  • patriots
  • U.S.A.
  • morality
  • free speech
  • guns
  • big cars (in the hands of common folk)
  • humans
  • any kind of war at all for any reason at all
  • most religions
  • guns
Did I leave anything out? Oh, yeah, guns.

You have to watch out for those roving gangs of Catholic boys. They will beat you down. Especially if you're a preppy. :neener:

Who spends newyears in a van waiting for a phone-call to beat someone up? That had to be pre-arranged, god damn that's one powerful kid if he already has goons who will work statutory holidays.

Can you see a future politician?

P.S.

Nice to see that everyone has safety and security in gun-free SanFran.

A couple of uninvited guests started mocking them, and allegedly the words "faggot" and "homo" were tossed

I was in an all male choral ensemble back in college, if the members of this ensemble found these taunts unusual, they clearly move through life in condition white.

-- and so were a couple of punches.

This is unusual and smells like some sort of set up. That and the whole van around the corner. I mean, who the hell beats up a glee club?

Nothing surprises me coming out of San Francisco. Early last year a couple of city councilmen called a christian youth convention a gathering of terrorists.

Why would these "uninvited guests" in the crowd/audience use the terms "faggot" and "homo?"

After all, isn't everyone in SF proud of their pervert city, or sympathetic to "fagggots" and "homos?"

Of course they are...so I don't get the hostility shown.

yale supposedly has the highest concentration of gays in the ivy league. that's its reputation. hence the gay-baiting.

at my undergrad institution, we had a yale bashing song that went like this:

"To Hell With Yale"
(Sung To The Tune of "Oh Christmas Tree")

To hell with Yale, To hell with Yale...
To hell with Yale
To hell with Yale

To hell with Yale, To hell with Yale...
To hell with Yale
To hell with Yale

To hell with Yale, To hell with Yale...
To hell with Yale, To hell with Yale

To hell with Yale, To hell with Yale...
To hell with Yale
To hell with Yale

I have to say, my favorite was the Brown University football cheer, which went like this:

"What the color of ****?!"
"BROWN!"

too much a cappella will make a man do strange things

Still doesn't explain who did the mugging.

The party-goers? Who were they? Or a nearby roving gang conveniently phoned by someone at the party?

I suspect this is going to be culturally inconvenient for a whole lot of San Fran elitist types.

A kid from a prominent family made a phone call, and got a bunch of his "boys" to come and beat the cappella kids up. And it's very doubtful they were beat up for singing the star spangled banner. They were beat up because cappella singers are dorks, and the uninvited guests wanted to harass them. They were being insulted right when they stepped foot into the party, it escalated, then ended in them getting a beatdown.

I would love to see some punk prep get on his Blackberry, or Treo, and round up his "posse" cause he rolls "20 deep!"

Does that remind anybody else of "Malibu's Most Wanted", with Jamie Kennedy?

Pound it!!!!!

A vanload of twenty angry, violent, screaming preppies are usually the type to jump around and yell a lot, but the only damage they'll do is kick you when you're already down.

It'd be nice to put a hollow point in the ass of each one of those clowns.

This is one to put on their gangster resume. "Yeah, dawg, we kicked the sh*t out of those glee club boyz! Word!"

Which "boys" were those? You're telling me a bunch of rich punks did the mugging? How come we haven't had any identification of the perps?

His friends, presumably.

This is the info we got:
But witnesses said one of the uninvited guests -- who happens to be the son of a prominent Pacific Heights family -- pulled out his cell phone and said, "I'm 20 deep. My boys are coming."

I don't know why we don't have ID of the perps. Only 4 of the assailants were even asked for ID. There could be any number of reasons. They were underage, the prominent family is pulling strings, etc.
