I have just one gun chambered in 45 colt. A bond arms derringer . I was "Gifted" several thousand rounds of hard cast 230gr round nose 45acp loose boolits.

I have several pounds of hp38 and see Hodgdon shows data for 45colt with a lead 230gr lrnfp. Seems pretty anemic but good enough for plinking.

Can I use 230gr round nose acp bullet with this data and run it in my Bonds arms derringer? Or is 45acp bullet a no no in 45 colt brass?

Same bullet diameter for both. Other than the possibility of barrel leading, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to load them for .45 Colt.

Yes, the 45 ACP bullets will work just fine. As kcofohio said, the diameters are the same.

About the only watch out is there is no crimp groove on the 45 ACP bullet so be careful with your crimp. Too much will bulge the case mouth and the round may not chamber. Better yet, use a taper crimp die if you have one.

I have loaded various bullets designed for 45 ACP in 45 Colt cartridges.

I have a 45 Colt /.410 bore shotshell barrel for my Bond derringer. I got it for carrying shot loads while bush hogging the fields. Sometimes the mower will wound a critter and I wanted something to finish the job. Interesting to shoot.

According to my mentor...

And older hunting buddy, the BEST choice for a thrifty .45 shooter (who owns 1911s and SAA) is the bullet you describe. 230 gr lrn splits the diff b/w original 250 gr wild west load and 200 gr neo-cowboy gamer loads. More power to you for realizing the frugal forty-five shooter's dream. ;)
