Yet another .40 cal reload question

I am a newbie in the reloading world. I usually carry the Glock 23 (.40 cal) and would like to reload for it. I am hearing and reading that the 40 cal in a glock is not supported so not to use reloads. Is there a workaround? I know that if I want to use lead bullets I should change the barrel. Which barrel should I get? Hopefully I won't be looking for a different gun. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.

How olds your G23? The newer ones are better supported, and don't belly out the brass. I loaded for my G23 with no issues, using FMJ bullets.

Lots of folks reload for Glocks without issues.

The spent casings that came with it are dated 3/19/09.

Don’t know how old my Glock (6years old ?) is but it bellied my brass badly. I replaced the barrel with an aftermarket one. No more worries and it still feeds reliably. Brass lasts longer too.
