wow you guys are good. I cant even keep up reading all the awesome information thanks to you all. I will post some pictures after I am done placing my whole setup hopefully today. I also noticed while depriming some what looked like .223 that they may not be, can someone shine some light on this? They are marked LC 15 with a plus like symbol. From the research I had done i came up with the conclusion that LC makes competition rounds and that the plus means military brass? what caliber are these and can I use then just as any .223? I tried editing the picture for most detail as best I could.

That + with a circle around it (NATO spec ammo indicator) and the LC letters tells me it's military service ammo from Lake City Army Ammnition Plant in Missouri. They never made any 5.56 match ammo and quit making 7.62 NATO match ammo some years ago. Both the 7.62 and 30-06 match ammo was nothing to write home about. Their best lots of both barely shot under 2 MOA at 600 yards. Commercial match ammo was much better in semi autos.

Yes, it'll do well in your .223 Rem camber. Properly full length size and deprime, remove primer crimping, then stuff primer, powder and bullet in it.

One more little detail on the Lake City round; the primer was crimped in place and you'll need to remove that crimp before attempting to reprime the brass.

Recently I had inadvertently mixed in some LC .308 brass that had not been crimped with the rest if the batch that had. Just enough to be a pain when trying to seat primers. Finally got fed up and just swaged the whole batch again.

As promised here is a picture of my setup. I made 20 rounds or .308, .223 , 9MM and 45ACP. for testing in the next few days but im LOVING it. It's therapeutic and gives me something to do on off times. Thank you all for your help. Couldnt have done it without you.

By the way I'm using the RCBS press for .223 and .308 for precision and the LEE for 9MM and 45ACP for speed. works out great after getting most of the little bugs out of the LEE it comes in rough from the factory.
