This is my first reload batch and I made an error on one round. I had my Lee perfect powder dispenser on "off" so it only put in the powder it had in its "reserve".

I noticed it because the next round no powder came out.

I estimated it to be 44-46 grains or so. I am loading 68 grains, using a 180 grain hornady BTSP. Powder is IMR 4831.

Is 44 grains enough to go ahead and fire this off and get my brass back or should I try to pull it?

From my experience, I would not shoot that combo. You would risk having the round stuck in your barrel or worse. It is a simple task to pull that bullet and start over.

With that low of a charge couldn't that also result in a hang fire too?
As loadedround said, pull the bullet, puller is only like 20 bucks.

Pull the bullet, please. Light charges of slow burning powders can act erratically. Every reloader needs a mistake eraser anyway. Twenty bucks plus 2-3 good hits from an inertia puller will get the job done. Then, you can resize just the neck if you want or simply reload the case with the correct load.

Thanks guys, for $20 got a puller and pulled it right out. Reloaded it and its good to go.

Thanks!
