Note 3 - When Beretta/Benelli utilizes a plastic trigger group it is innovative. When Remington does it, it is cheap. I call FOUL !
And I don't want to hear about filled flourocarbons or any of that; it's still plastic.

A machined metal guard cost more to produce. When a company puts a plastic guard on their shotgun it's usually to save them money not you. I feel a well made plastic guard will hold up just fine.

I point out that the Hawk 982 has a machined aluminum guard because it's a lower cost shotgun with higher cost guard. More for the money.
